Church of God Women’s Ministries is partnering with City of Refuge to raise $500,000 to establish the first transitional home for women (with children) who have been sexually trafficked. Together, we can provide a place of refuge, healing, and restoration for many mothers and their children through House of Cherith. With God’s help, we will change the future of generations to come!
Mommy & Me
House of Cherith’s Newest Home
Houses up to 3 moms and their children.
Goal: secure employment and create healthy family relationships.
Statistics show that the majority of trafficked and exploited individuals are introduced at a young age by a close family member or friend. This makes it extremely difficult for women to leave their children in pursuit of their own healing and recovery. The Mommy and Me Program provides an opportunity for women to overcome their trauma alongside their children and to break the generational cycles of abuse, addiction and pain.
While providing top notch recovery and support assistance for the mothers, House of Cherith is committed to serving the needs of the children with the same intensity and intentionality. Support services such as trauma informed care, life skills curriculum, peer support recovery and more that are developed to address adults and minors are an essential part of what makes the Mommy and Me home stand out. Together, we can not only empower women to take back the pen to the story of their lives, but we can inspire their children to write the narrative they have always dreamed of.
